The Washington Business Association welcomes business owners and organizations with offices or residences in Washington. Membership provides exclusive opportunities for collaboration and support. The annual membership fee is $250 for corporate members, $150 for new members, $125 for returning members, and $75 per year for individuals joining under a member business or organization.
The Washington Business Association (WBA) is organized into five committees, each overseen by a board member. These committees manage the WBA's initiatives. If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please reach out to the board chairs via the links below.

Lisa Stein - Committee Chair
Liaison to all town organizations, including the Washington Economic Development Commission. Commission members collaborate with the town on seasonal beautification projects such as spring planters and holiday lights, and create Welcome Bags for new residents.
*Addition of Selectmen meeting (semi-annual) and liaison for the proposed gazebo project

Electa Varnish - Committee Chair
Welcome new businesses, spearhead the annual membership campaign, and organize quarterly member get-togethers. In addition, the Membership committee is responsible for board nominations and elections (as needed).

Zoe Velush Rogers - Committee Chair
Coordinate, plan, and invite businesses to participate in town-wide events that draw thousands to our community - including Restaurant Week, Harvest Festival, Block Party and Holiday in the Depot.

Julie King - Committee Chair
Responsible for reviewing content for the WBA website and social media platforms, and helping coordinate and gather information for the monthly member newsletter. Work closely with the communications assistant to post and inform members of WBA member events and information. In addition, the marketing committee supports all other committees.

Emily Kent- Committee Chair
Work closely with public and private schools in Washington to identify key events and opportunities where the WBA can provide meaningful support. Also, responsible for the administration, selection, and presentation of the annual scholarship to a graduating Senior from Shepaug Valley School (SVS).
